What is Alpha?
Alpha is a 15-week opportunity to explore the relevance of the
Christian faith to our everyday lives. It is a practical introduction
to the basics of Christianity, taught in a discussion format.
Alpha will be conducted on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
There will be discussions, questions and answers, and dining in
small groups. Alpha is for anyone interested in exploring the
Christian faith with friendly, non-judgmental people over a good
meal.
Why Alpha?
Over
the years I have had many conversations with people about Jesus,
the Church, and Christianity and I've learned that people not
only need the truth but an opportunity to experience the incredible
love of God, just as I have. God is in pursuit of us, just
look at the parables in Luke 15. Even in Genesis God starts
the conversation and the reconciliation or our relationship with
Him. Providing a space for dialogue makes ALPHA a great
tool for people to explore Christianity.

Who is Alpha for?
Everyone is welcome on an ALPHA course and people attend for a
wide variety of reasons. Some want to investigate whether
God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned
about what happens after death. Still others may have attended
church on and off all their lives but fell they have never really
understood the basics of the Christian faith. People come
from many different backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints
- but all come with the same objective: to establish whether Jesus
Christ has any real relevance for their lives.
What happens during Alpha?
Participants will meet in the evenings beginning at 6:30 for
a brief presentation and then break into small groups for discussion
and dinner. Each small group will have a table leader to help
facilitate the discussion.
